Hi,

I was looking at the Escalante area right at Scorpion Gulch on Google Earth. I am not very good with these message boards but I added
the jpeg as a file attachment, hopefully it will come out o.k.

WHat you see is an interesting formation-- two canyons come into a confluence and then lead down to the Escalante. Someone has probably been in these, heck, they are probably well known. I was wondering if someone knew what they are called.

Thanks
Adrian

Also known as "Nasty Ass" (west fork) and "Tight Ass" (east fork) in some canyoneering circles.....

Wait... I just looked at TerraServer and Baker Canyon is further to the north. On Stefan Colorado Plateau Photo Map the southern branch is labeled as George's Camp???

It's Baker.... The canyons go Neon, Ringtail and Baker as you travel downstream from Neon.

Or the moderated version is Nasty and Tight. I think they are Turville's names?
