I am heading down to Little Wild Horse canyon this weekend with the fam and was wondering if anyone knew if the canyon has any water/potholes right now? I am taking little kids with me so it would help to know ahead if I need to bring a carrying back pack for them.

Also, if Goblin Valley campground is full, what are my alternatives for camping, besides bandit camping in the desert?

Thanks :2thumbs:

If GV campground is full, then "bandit" camping is the only option. But its not a bad option. You'll just have to use a bush instead of a pit toilet, and a rock instead of a picnic table.

I doubt it would have a lot of water. It doesn't hold water like Ding and Dang canyons do.

Camping by Temple Mountain is great. It is near GV (just don't turn off the road, keep going) and there is a neat old rock homestead nearby.

If you have a gps, I will give you coords of where I stayed.

These are actually coords to geocaches, but the camping areas will be obvious.

This is the ruins of and old rock cabin near temple mountain.
