Anyone know if there is any trail system that goes from gaurdmans pass to the heber valley side (Midway). Maybe something that drops down into the dutch hollow trail system? I know there is the main road, but I don't want to end up on some F250's grill. lol
Any riders up in that area?
Thanks

Yup, there is a dirt road that goes that way. There is the main road (Guardsman's pass) there that goes over the top into Park City from Big Cottonwood. From this road another road heads to the south east and into Midway. It comes out on the east side of the golf course in Midway. :2thumbs:

Yea thats the road I would approache guardmans pass ( I live in Midway ) but I don't want to come down that same road, as I am sure I would get hit by one of the many cars going up around a hairpin turn at 30 mph.
I was hoping there was something off of Tour De Souds that I could drop off and end up in the heber valley.

THis would be kind of a round a bout way of getting there, but there is a great piece of singletrack called the Apex trail on the Jupiter Bowl side of Guardsmen. We always start our crest rides this way.
Park at the Guardsmen summit and head down the dirt road toward PC for maybe 200 yards(?) then veer to the left and climb up a steep loose fire road for <1/4 mile. At the top, look due north and you'll see the singletrack snaking through the trees. This trail crosses a few others and if you turn west it'll take you back into Shadow Lake.. If you hang a right onto Keystone it'll take you down to Mid Mountain faster where you can ride up to TDS, but the rest of Apex is super fun too. I wanted to double check my facts and I found this, where you can zoom in on the Apex trail and see what I mean:

Edit: I just read your question again and I was thinking you wanted to know how to link up to TDS. My bad. you want to know how to get down the other side.. That I can't help you with, sorry!

It a pretty good dirt road. . .as mentioned you just have to dodge the passing cars or hope they dodge you that is. :lol8:
