The remake looks pretty sick!
I like how the the base is larger and the area around Camp Froman and rocket ammo has more cover. That area of the map was dead space.

Can't wait. I've been so busy with Rainbow:Vegas that i forgot all about the new halo. Anyone know what the song is on the second video. Sounds familiar but i can't place it.

Ok, finally had a chance to watch the vid....

I can't believe I have to wait until November for this! I want it NOW! Dammit, I'm holding my breath until they give it to me! And I'm going on a hunger strike!... darn I'm already hungry.

September 25th is the official release date for Halo 3. I already told my boss I don't feel good on that day.

The game is soooo sick.
I have been staying up late and getting up early to play it every chance I get.

High Ground - this map rules, one of the best ever made.

Spartan laser - take a long ass time to power up but sure is fun to blast things with.

Brute Spike Nade - hahah, man these things rule.

Turrets - I love how you can pick them up and run around a shoot them I only wish you could remount it. Pretty crazy to see the view switch to third person in halo.

Snipers - the feel is much cleaner then halo2 and it feels like the auto-aim is gone. Sniping feels much more like halo1.. its harder and thats a good thing.

(Atv) Mongoose - its a pretty fun zippy little thing to drive but really easy to roll it over.

Portable Jump thingy - its as cool as it looks, but i really love planting the trip mines :2thumbs:

more to come.... gotta get back to work.

I noticed from one of the pictures that you could pick up the turrets.

Is there a Blood Gulch board there?

Yeah, I saw those portable "lifts" that you could throw down. This game is going to add so much to the experience. I can't wait.

the lift is pretty sweet.. pretty fun to hit one on the ATV haha

Man, the laser seems powerful. Hope it doesn't end up like the pistol in Halo 1. Once it's mastered your untouchable to those who haven't.

On a side note, in the beta there is an achievment called Cheneymania if you have 10 shotgun kills. Story (http://rawstory.com/news/2007/Cheneymania_award_nixed_from_videogame_0515.html)

It wont happen because the laser takes about 3 full seconds to shoot a .25 second blast and the h1 pistol is all skill.

nope, i have mixed emotions about that.

I really like taking down hogs full of people and I did it all the time. It isn ow much more difficult with out the lock on.
On the other had its VERY satisfying when you take one down without the lock on :five:

yeah, but it takes the nub factor out of the game. As fun as locking rockets can be... it sure is easy to take stuff out.
