At the top of Adams Canyon, just a mile shy of Thurston peak, is an old hunting cabin. Four of us from work hiked up just to check it out.

3.5 miles and 4000 feet later we arrived.

It was a great day to be out, with the temp in the upper 80's. The wild flowers are in bloom, and the plants are green. The snakes are out, so I will have to keep an eye out for the rattlers.

There are a lot of rocky outcroppings along the trail.

Didn't see any rattlers, but saw this gopher snake.

I've hiked that canyon several times but never made it to the cabin. 3.5 miles? I must be a puss. I make it up to a rickety river crossing then turn around. :ne_nau:

dont follow the river. The trail follows the ridgeline all the way...
