The Ogden posse couldn't make it tonight, and I was borderline riding myself but still decided to go.

This was my first ride after the knee dislocation. My knee felt pretty good.... my conditioning didn't. I only made it up to the rocky point above the golf course.

The trail was in perfect condition; hard packed, zero mud. I've even heard it was clear the whole way up on top of Beus' Canyon.

The trail was pretty crowded with bikers, hikers, dog walkers, and even a few rock climbers.

Nice pics man! Where exaclty does the Beus Canyon trail go? I rode up it a little on Sunday...but kind of ran out of steam on the SS. Does it just keep climbing? Thanks!

I've never been on it, but if you're talking about the one that starts around 48th street (?) it will meet up top with the shoreline trail above the Dee Event Center, maybe a little north of that. Then of course it will come back down to the Shoreline level and cross Strong Canyon, and Waterfall Canyon.

When we're riding south, we'll usually ride up until the trail starts to come back down towards the Beus trailhead.

Ok...thanks! I wasn't sure if it was a one-way trail or something. Nice to know it loops back to the BST. I started from the 29th st trailhead and rode south to Beus. Nice change of pace from the BST down here in Kaysville.

I think it loops up, anyways. That's what I keep hearing. It looks like it here:

we ride the loop quite often...start at 12 street, ride th bst to the beus loop..the top part of the loop is an old trail and is not real friendly to bikers but is rideable..the lower portion of the trail is in great shape. or another fun way to ride it is to go up 48th, to the trail head, ride the loop and back down beus...and yes the trail is dry...well was until today!!!

How's the incline on that part?

the incline...it is steep and rocky...it will challenge you but i try and do it once a week just for that reason...but be ready to use a couple of stcmb (stop to catch my breathe!) if you start on 36 you can ride up to the bst and then over, buy that is one heck of a climb as well but not as rocky. you ever want to do it and need a guide let me know...
