I've been to Vegas once (boring), and was shocked at how they waste water with fountains, etc. I'd been hiking with a friend at the Grand Hole, and we stayed a night in Lost Wages before an early a.m. flight.

I was under the impression that much of the water in the fountains was recycled waste water from the Hotel or Casino. I am not fond of the idea of giving water to Vegas at all but I do think they do a fairly decent job of H20 conservation compared to other cities. Personally Vegas holds no excitement to me, though in college days I did have some pretty good times there.

If so, that's pretty smart. Maybe they could use mineral oil...
