:help: there was an old thread about knots that showed a few ways to tie your own harness. i've looked but i can't find it. anybody know where she be?

i'd say it is probably close to the amount of webbing needed for the swiss seat. at least 20 feet. depends on how much girth you carry. if you use 25 feet you would just do another wrap or two around your waist. when i started climbing in the mid 70's this type of harness was very common. sure was an upgrade to the bowline on a coil for tying in.
the only thing i noticed with this harness as opposed to the other one was that it looked like the center of gravity was alot lower.
