Warning: what you are about to read is completely vague and nearly useless...but I will post anyway because I have faith in the UUtah crowd.

I remember reading sometime during the last year or so about what I would call "vertical hiking trails". The magazine listed three of them - one was in Utah. Basically, they are a climbing route where a permanent ladder has been installed and a person can ascend the peak just by climbing the giant ladder. Does anyone remember reading this? Does anyone know where the Utah location is? Has anyone ever climbed it?

I knew that my blind faith in all of you was well-founded. Thanks for the info. It doesn't look like the previous thread included any TR's of the Ogden route. I would love to see some pictures.

Yeah, I snagged a few photos of the one in Ogden, while on a bike ride.

Sorry, but I only saw the "practice" area. The real stuff is another 30 minute walk. I didn't feel like leaving my bike laying around, so this is all I've got.

This is located 30 feet south of the bridge on the Bonneville Shoreline Trail, as it crosses Waterfall Canyon.
