I am fortunate to have a lot of time off in May, which will include some Utah trekking.
One place I am looking into is the long trip down Death Hollow in the Escalante area. I have beta from several guide books, seems somewhat challenging but not terribly technical. I solo hike a lot but this one looks like one to do with several competent folks.
Late May looks good for the daytime warmth factor with swimming involved.
Anyone done this trek, good/bad/indifferent--advice?? Anyone got some time off late May??
My one "live" source is Katie Lee, author of "All My Rivers Are Gone" but she has done this trip many years ago and of course doesn't remember it all, only that it is beautiful and worth doing.
Help??
