Is that based on an event that has actually taken place in wrestling? I have not watched Wrestling in a LOOOOooooooong time but it was a lot manlier when I did watch it.

No, I think it's just a hack on the game. The dude was probably meant to walk in with a chick, somebody switched it out to be a guy.
