That really is sad. And this picture from an Ohioan. Maybe they were trying to walk their dog extra fast to get back and watch the Buckeyes. That would be alright.

I was at my jeweler the other day, getting a battery replaced in one of Abby's 50 watches (another story). My jeweler, who I have known for many years, said, "Richard, I see you walking all over downtown."

"Yeah," I told him, "I often prefer to walk."

"No, I mean I sometimes see you going six or eight blocks out of your way."

I explained that I hike a lot, and that I like to stay in decent shape between hiking trips, but I'm not sure he understood.
