Now, I know some people think LWHC is a sell out - but it was awesome! Not a soul around and lots of fun. Beatrix has never done anything like it and was amazed. The day before, while we were in Cap Reef, there was a storm and a flash flood swept through the canyon and left lots of wet spots - brrrrr!! :-) An amazing day....

Looks like a good time. It's unfortunate that crowds can make something seem less than it actually is. Even when there are crowds at LWHC, I'll bet it's still purty (never been, myself). Sounds like you lucked out, this time. Yeah, that water looks cold...

Nice photos. Looks like a place i should go. Maybe it's too early for the crowds.

:haha: :2thumbs:

Yeah, I guess that's what I've heard mostly - the crowds are awful. We saw two people on the way in, at the beginning, and three as we were coming out. That's it. We did the whole loop without seeing anyone! It was really way cool and super fun.

Thanks for the great pictures. Had to be COLD! I did a part of it in Sept and only saw one group in the canyon. The guys I saw were old timers(and I'm old) that get together once a year to hike. The one fellow told me his first time in LWHC was 25 years ago.

Yeah, I'm with Summit. The canyon is awesome and so are your pictures. It is just rare that you are able to be alone there. Your trip looks great!
