Ok, I'm kinda a new comer to the forum thing so I have a couple of questions. #1 How do I import a quote into my message? ie. sombeach wrote: or Tanya wrote: #2 How do I create an avatar of my own? Help me please.

Well, the easiest way is to hit the "Quote" button on the top right of their post. That just automatically "quotes" their entire post. If you do this, you can delete some of the text between these parts:
(you can edit this part)
Just make sure you don't remove any of the square brackets, and make sure that the "/" stays in the last part.
Alternately, you can use the "Quote" button that appears in the list above where you type in your post. Hit it once, then type in the text you want to show up inside the box. Then hit the button again. Boom - quotes.
If you want the quote attributed to somebody, put an equals sign and then the name in quotations, both inside of the square brackets.
Thus:
Hi daddy!
gives you:
Hi daddy!

#2 How do I create an avatar of my own? Help me please.
For this you need to resize a photo - the board can't do that automatically. If you're not able to do that, send me along a photo that you're interested in making an avatar from. Or else upload it right here. Reply to this and go down to the "Add an Attachment" section. Click on "Browse" and find the pic you want to upload. Select it, click "OK", then click the "Add Attachment" button.
Keep in mind that since the avatars are quite small, you shouldn't use a photo that zooms in fairly closely on the subject, otherwise it may be unrecognizable.
If you do that, just let me know what part of the photo you want as the avatar. I can grab it from here, and set it up. Then once it's done, I'd just have to tell you what to paste into your profile page...
damn Cirrus, that's some great help there with images and everything! Do you work in Technical Writing or something? :lol8: :five:
vamedtech, if you need resizing a picture let us know, I am sure one of us can resize it for you if you post the picture you want for your avatar.

Aw, thanks. I just love the sound of my own voice... :blahblah: :haha:
If I actually worked with computers, I probably would have had my third grade daughter write "Hello world". (Programmer joke - not actually that funny, for those not in on it.)

Nice work Cirrus!
Admittedly, if you're not used to forum style, it can be a bit confusing. Thanks for the detailed explanation.
