I am an EMT and I have seen some crazy stuff, but holy cow! If this ever happens to me, kill me! Or at the very least knock me out for a week.

It looks like an intentional impaling to me. I'm guessing whoever rescued him cut the sharp tip off.

This is an old pic. I'm a gore hound, so I frequent such sites as Rotten.com and Ogrish.com. I first saw this pic on Rotten.com a couple years ago. The caption mentioned that this guy was trying to commit suicide by jumping from a high place, and he got impaled on this wooden post on the way down.

I hate to laugh at the guy... but if I were going to commit suicide, I would get the job done and with a lot less pain.
