Tanya - it's a zoo you wouldn't believe existed unless you had to participate in it from time to time. :haha: I plan to write a book one day, but will have to sell it under fiction because no one would believe the truth. :eek2: I could write a whole chapter on the grocery store. Men who come up and ask how to properly cook their meat, etc......

Sometimes I think women like you who are single are lucky... I love dating!!!!!!! ---- But then its nice to not go through all the bad ones to find a good one too. Although I have been lucky. I can't say I have had many bad dates.

The good part is, I can laugh about it - well most of the time anyway. I was married (way back) and came close to getting married again before I moved out here to Utah. Western men are different than Southern men, but for the most part, (if their Mama raised 'em right) I find the majority of men everywhere to be gentlemen. Knowing me though, you know the guy HAS to have a good sense of humor. An 8" hoo-haw doesn't hurt either! :eek2: :naughty: (ok - before everyone strokes, that was a joke!) :lol8: 7 is plenty........

I'm afraid I would have to find a date that is blind, and find some way to fake the 8" hoo-haw (that's a new one for me). Since my 44th anniversary is this month, I would be in serious trouble re-entering the dating game.

I know people who have met people online and gotten engaged/married without really even meeting. That is crazy!
I met my wife playing frisbee at a church activity. I'm a huge frisbee sport enthusiast (like DiscGolf of DiscGolf-Diver) so for me the way we met was perfect.

i had the option to go on a blind date with my wife, but decided to go with someone else I knew. Yeah, bad choice. LOL
But fortunately we got to go out later. :)

Oh, man, I was 40 and single when I moved here - just think about how they treated me!! They felt much better when they figured out I was engaged, but then the "when are you having kids" thing started. Most were aghast that when I told them we arent having any! Yikes! Starting to have kids now? Are you kidding? :eek2: Not for me, thanks.
I met my husband at a bike race. Most of the guys I dated came from the mountain biking association I was affiliated with, and a few from the gym (I know, I can hear ya - "yuck!" but hey, whatever works!) I'm just really glad I dont have to date anymore... got too difficult breaking up - it's hard work finding the perfect guy!

Online dating service is the way to go. You can find precisely what you're looking for. Do you want a Catholic, Mormon, Jewish, atheist girl from the south, west, or east? Are you looking for a professional or a housewife? Should she be dumb, smart, or brilliant? It's all there online and you can fine tune your choices to your heart's content.

Same here....I was in my late 30s when I moved here, no kids and didn't plan on starting a family at that age either. It was surprising how many divorced men in their 40s were looking for women quite a bit younger because they planned to start a new family when they remarried.
btw...... I'd rather meet a guy at the gym "meat market" than at the actual meat market. :lol8:

I know what you mean. I stayed single doing the Athlete (Judo) thing... traveling... living at the Olympic Training Center.... having a blast .... dancing every night at the clubs...........
Then I move to Utah and Bang!!!! --- Something hit me...... like all of the sudden now I need a husband and kids????? It's a sickness here.
Be very careful!

When the subject of being single and dating comes up, Abby and I look at each other with these knowing, grateful looks, as if to say, "thank the stars we don't have to go through that any more!"
We both kissed a lot of frogs before we found our respective princess/prince.
