Hell of a story - kid has an idea he wants to pitch to Google, but can't get through by phone or e-mail, so he flies to Mountain View, CA without an appointment to sit in their lobby until they hear him out. And after three days, they do! He's got a meeting today at 4:30!

I hope the kid had the google rep sign an NDA of some kind. If it's that good of an idea, I'm sure google will just steal it and say they had it all along. Don't let the media puff pieces fool you. As everyone considers Microsoft to have been involved in unethical practices to squash competitors, google is the 21st century iteration of this model.

That really seems like a cool story. I guess it is hard to know what the guy expects when you don't know what the idea is, but he said as long as they listen to him, he will be content. So it seems like it went pretty well.
