Feeling a little mushy today after eating my chocolate covered valentines strawberries. Also feeling a little sad after having an unfortunate confrontation today.

I know this thread will go south rather quickly, but it should be positive to build forum unity. So, say something nice about another member of uutah.com, thats the task.

Whether you just think they are a nice person.
They helped you with some information on a trip.
They invited you along on a trip and you had a great time.
They said something nice about you.

Its tough for me to start and I could say something nice about so many users. I really enjoy everyone on this site and its fun to be a part of this uutah community.

I'll start with DiscGolfDivers and mention others as the thread evolves. Disco has got to be one of the most genuine guys that I have never met. He is a great guy and from what I have read, he never says anything bad about anyone. He seems to have a fun loving personality and is always out to help people where he can. Just a nice/fun guy to have around and a real asset to uutah. :2thumbs:

Who is next?

I reallllly like Accadacca. He's a great kisser. :roflol:

I really appreciate all of the help and "inside info" I have received from Iceaxe. All of our trips have been really enjoyable, and he devotes a lot of time and effort to contribute to the hiking/canyoneering community here in Utah. Oh yeah, and he's a great kisser too... :haha:

There are about 20-30 of us that seem to be on here all the time. I could easily go through and state something I really like about most people here. I really think that Tanya is great. Tanya flirts with everyone (indiscriminently) can just be fun like that, but what I really like about her is how nice she seems. Without ever having met Tanya, she makes me want to be a nicer person.

I love Savanna  Because she is smart, witty and can put Ice in his place --- with class! -- and Shagster .. because he sent me flowers for Valentine's Day instead of a rifle or dead bird or something like that... and all the men in the group even if they did not send me flowers.... :ahh: DGD because he always says nice things about me.

-Tanya has pretty eyes
-DiscGolfDiver joined the richardbarron.net forum when all others scoffed
-Sombeech has a really funny avatar at present
-rockgremlin really knows his stuff
-Iceaxe is a madman out of control in all the right ways
-DirkHammergate knows how to jam and when
-savanna3313 isn't just a southern belle, she's the phone company, baby!
-There are so many others who deserve accolades. But in the midst of all these there is one who stands out as the Supreme Ultimate, if for no other reason than the utterly intoxicating smell of her beautiful hair. abbysm, my lovely wife, is my favorite Uutah.com member.

Oh my! Thank you to everyone who had such nice things to say about me! You made my day. :hail2thechief:

I feel like one of those Oscar recipients who have the LONG list of people they need to thank from birth on up. :haha: I will single out a few.

Of course, I have to start with my fellow female compadre, Tanya. Being a female, all she needs to understand what I am trying to say is an emoticon. Call it fellow female intuition. :five:

Richard Barron: Anyone who has the type of admiration and love for a woman as he does his Abby, rates an "A" on the man list. :2thumbs: A first class photographer AND he loves New Orleans too.

Wade: You are in a class all your own baby. :naughty: :hail2thechief: I'll refrain from saying too much because you still need to fit your head down those mine shafts. :haha:

Ice: I am speechless when it comes to such manliness. Humor, brains and brawn make for a lethal male combination. You should be cloned. :lobby:

Sombeech (aka Fro Man???) :ne_nau: I can't think of anyone else I'd rather be moderated by..... :naughty:  You are a man among men and greatly appreciated by all who haunt this site. What other site can you come to and get info about the hottest trail or canyon and office toilet etiquette at the same time?? :lol8:

I agree with Acca about Disc. He is the real thing. Honest, true and decent with a real sweetness about him that most men lack. This is a definite plus.

Which brings us to Acca - a class act not to mention a real cutie. Diversified as well (thinking of the What's for Dinner category) :2thumbs: I also heard that he is a great kisser! :feelgood:

Dirk Hammergate: Again - a man in a class by himself. :hail2thechief:
Mysterious and brooding. Someone you want to mother and spank at the same time. :haha:

There are SO many others that make this site a fun place to visit. I am not a hard core outdoor warrior like a lot here, but I do find a lot of good info for my "speed" and for those who come to visit as well. :moses:
I mainly visit to get a laugh for the most part. :lol8: I'm never left wanting.....

rockgremlin - with this dude on your trips you don't have to worry about anything. A wonderful companion, uplifting and welcoming.

Ice - a pro is a pro. Very safety conscious, educational and fun to travel with.

itchy - great cook! He got me addicted to dutch oven.

Thanks Tanya that's sweet  I think everyone is great. I wish I could be more like a lot of people here. :hail2thechief: They are so experienced and knowlegeble about the outdoors. This is a great place to be. I especially like Tanya and Savannah  , it's great how they always tag team the guys, I think they are two way cool chicks.

But anyways, I love all of the other people that I've signed up, and posted under their names, to get them started.

Tanya - She sure knows how to make men melt at her finger tips. I also want to thank her for her website and photos she provided to the community.

AccaDacca- Seems to have a great head on his shoulders (& I love that he called me "DiscGo". I think I am going to start using that more as a nick name.)

SomBeech- I always look forward to reading his posts. I find him very amusing

FroBro- Cavemen make me laugh

Rev- It is always nice to have a difference of opinion to make you question your own. I enjoy our political debates.

JP- A conservative in Connecticut. Do I need to say anything else? I think if you lived closer, we could become really good friends.

IceAxe- We talked a lot of trash before the bowl season, and I GREATLY appreciated you not making a bigger deal out of the Ohio State loss.

Stephan- I really appreciate you teaching me how to used embedded words as links (http://uutah.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4953)

Richard- If I knew nothing else about you, the way you speak of your wife would be enough. Great guy, and takes great pictures. (I don't know if I have ever told you, but I really like your "Nowhere Oklahoma" picture).

A lot of my friends think that I am "hard core" outdoorsy but on this site, I am such a noob. I love that most of you guys know so much more about the outdoors and Utah than I seem to. This really could be the longest thread ever because there are so many cool people on this site (many of whom have not even been mentioned yet) and it is just nice to be recognized.

This is all getting so mushy...... but Alex is awesome and always there if anyone needs him. I get a kick out of all the guys in the political forum. Stefan is always so nice (although so liberal) and I like how nefarious thinks....and Scott (at least use to) calls me Babe... I liked that... and then there are all those canyoneers and bikers... like Wade. I think I summed it up the first time. I love all the men here!

As a recent addition to the membership here, I'll keep it general and express my respect and gratitude to all for their knowledge, willingness to share and sense of humor. Being a full-time traveler, people always ask my favorite state. My answer is always Utah and Colorado, since I can't totally choose a favorite. Not only is this due to the landscape in those states, but the friendly people we have consistently encountered. I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone a little better.

Thanks, Stefan.

Sombeech - For all your generally quiet, but masterful guidance and leadership, you truly are an admirable man, I hope to meet you some day.

Stefan - I believe you are my soulmate on this forum. I appreciate your intellect and insight on many topics.

Richard Barron - Your love for Abby, as well as your photos are inspirational.

DiscGolfDiver - I totally appreciate your ability to listen to and respect all opinions, and share your thoughtful and genuine opinions.

Rev. Coyote - you make me smile because often you say what I, with my socially polite inhibitions, dont allow me to. (not that you are not polite, per say! heehee) :-)

And cheers to all the rest of you who make my days and evenings fuller with your banter, expertise and photos. I truly feel like my life is richer for having the opportunty to get to know you all, even if it's only in cyber space.

Peace,
Tree.

So many cool people around here. Where to begin?

Acca = Our own emperor - rocks on his own level for getting this board - and this thread - going.

Sombeech = and whoever else he is today (I love when he has conversations with himself; it's so utterly MPD) Good attitude all around.

DiscGolfDivers = Nicest, most genuine guy on the list. I think most people here would be happy to buy him a cuppa whatever he's drinking.

Tanya = Positive, upbeat, supportive and hawt...

Reedus = Sent me DVDs that I was interested in seeing - generous and helpful. (Thanks again!)

stefan = I think we have a lot of similar attitudes, and I always respect his posts, whether they're capitalized or not.

The Rev = Hey you guys, I think we may be getting to him - he's just a big softie after all. Sometimes I get cranky when he "spouts" (though I agree with the gist) but then he'll just crack me up with a wicked one-liner.

JP = Always willing to share his photos & vids if you show an interest.

Scott Patterson = Smart, literate, and so willing to share ideas, suggestions and beta.

Savanna = I like that you really just enjoy the company here, more than anything. That's so cool.

ScoutMaster = It was fun watching you work out the embedded YouTube thing. Thanks for jumping right in with both feet! And for helping turn the kids on to the whole outdoors thing.

summit42 = I like you sharing your family pics. Family is such an amazing thing.

Mtnman1830 = Some folks like ScoutMaster's chin cover - I think yours is the best.

Richard Barron = Great pics, great love for Abby - and Mitchell. And another veggie-boy!

There are so many others that I appreciate - IceAxe, and all the canyon folks. I read ALL your trip reports, looking forward to getting into those same places when I'm ready.

I love you all! :cry1:

I went to IceAxe's house the other day for something and I was a little worried because I had never met anyone in person whom I had known online first. I was pleased to find Shane to be the same guy in person that he is on the site. This thread has really helped me to realize that I have made a bunch of friends without really realizing it. UUTAH is great!

Scout Master- It's funny you mentioned being left out because I was thinking today about how cool you were, and I should have said something. One of the reasons I was coming on right now was to make sure you were included.

Udink- Good and honest. I love that we share an enjoyment of caching

Jaxx- I loved how much you appreciate the priorities Quote and how respectful you were in asking to use it.

moabfool- When politics first started getting heated on this site, I was glad to have there. I appreciate how many views we have in common.

LibertyN8- I appreciated that you gave us the benefit of the doubt and stayed on this site and UTAG, when things were kind of weird between the two sites. I also am jealous that you are going to see Juneau again before I am.

Here's a list of the members I've met

Kazak - someone else said he's one of the friendliest guys they've ever met. Friendly is the perfect description. I don't think I've met anyone that has anything you need and brings it with him wherever he goes.

Ice - Wasn't sure what to think when I met him at his house. I found him to be a genuine guy who loves life and has priorities in the correct order. You get what you see with Ice and you always get your money's worth.

Rockgremmlin - Real nice guy who you can shoot the shit with the first time you meet him. He never thought twice about sharing good information and you can ask him anything.

Acca - Thought he was a real dork first time he pulled up in his BMW ready for a BMW fashion show, made me wish I had a bike also. I'm not sure how this guy has the time for everything he does but he's got life in order also. He's another good guy that'll do what he can for someone else.

Hopefully this year I can get out with a few more choice people from this site.

stefan - I haven't met the guy in person yet, but reading his posts he seems like a very uplifting guy who always has something positive and encouraging to say to others.

Well, I guess I better share some love. I must admit that Uutah is one of my guilty pleasures. I do find quite a bit of entertainment from you all. Nice to have varying opinions and a few with an edge. I appreciate the technical help that a few of you have given me to post photos and the like. Thanks all.

Kris seems really straight up. When I was worried about people making fun of me for liking Regina Spektor, Kris commented on liking her music. He is a good guy, and doesn't seem to worry about being anything that he isn't.

Maybe try and do squaw peak after work someday.

That would be cool Summit. Especially with the weather clearing up now. It would have to be pretty soon though, because I'm outta' here in about a month (or we would have to do it in the fall).

We should do it soon, I have not been able to hike very far at all for the past few months (my ankle issue). So i need a big guy like you to carry me down if it hurt my self ... or get tired.

Price, I don't think you need any smoochy posts told about you. You are lovable by all :naughty: :lol8:

I will say one thing about you though, it's great to have you along on the canyoneering trips. "Umm, Price, see that rock 15 feet high, can you "scout" it?" :roflol: I have to admire your ability to scale verticals and overall expertise. :2thumbs:

Price- I really do like how straight forward you are. You pretty much do cut right through that which you disagree with, and you don't make any excuses. So I guess more than anything, I like how confident you seem to be.

Rev- As much as we have disagreed, I really have come to respect you a lot. I really appreciated you softening up on me when you saw the pictures of the pigeons on me. I have gotten to the point that I look forward to your posts.

AccaDacca- When you first started this thread, I was kind of frustrated with some people on this site, and I felt like everyone hated me. Thanks again for starting this, and I really was honored that you started with me. It really meant a lot to me, so thanks. It is cool that you would think to do something like this.

I have really enjoyed the last few uutah.com get together's. Our trip to the Black Hole was a BLAST! Everyone was so cool and helpful. The uutah lunch's are always fun. The Tuesday mtn bike rides are something that I look forward to every week and Sombeech has been making some sweet videos. I have met several members of uutah.com this summer and I hope to meet many more.

Cheers,

Ya that Black Hole trip was awesome! I usually steer clear of large groups like that, but it was a lot of fun mingling with all my uutah homies all at the same time.

Lookin forward to a similar outing next year! :2thumbs:

I really appreciate Tanya and her influence on the site. Aside from being the resident "hot chick" she does a great job of making people feel welcome and she does so much to share with others.

Holy crap, how in the world have I missed this post :eek2: Wow, this thing almost made me :cry1: :lol8: Wow, I could try and break things down like Stefan did (which was outstanding), I'll be more general. Ahhh, the lackadaisical feeling that settles in before sleep  I would feel pretty bad if I left someone out. So....

Personalities clash, personalities bond. Just as with everything else in life, you can make one person smile and the same instance make another mad. So here we sit in this little corner of the Net, our little community. I can say that it's a good feeling to be able to unwind and pop on in here to see how people's days have been. Looking forward to posting and getting involved and feeling welcome. This place has some great people in here. You know who ya are.

Having a conversation with someone face to face is ideal. On the phone, over the Net these simple conversations can be taken wrong, especially when our passion of subject matter cannot be expressed enough. Body language, tone and facial expressions are lost, which can lead to hard feelings. It's in cases like this, when packed into a community of diversity, negative feelings grow for some. Personalities clash. I'll admit, I have a highly aggressive personality. There are times I sit here and want to kill. Certain people like to push buttons, like me sometimes  I've watched some weather some serious storms in here and I was totally impressed. I took note  So, the kill level has subsided some to bodily injury :lol8: In general I love to joke around and have a good time.

On the positive side, again...there are great people in here. Some I'll probably never get a chance to see in my lifetime and that's a shame. The Net is what brought us here and I know if I was living out in Utah, I'd have some pretty awesome friends with outstanding hobbies. Heck, canyoneering...I didn't even have a clue what the heck that was. We don't have stuff like that back here. Seeing those pics for the first time blew my mind. Hey, let's grab some rope and repel down this crack, I thought that was awesome. Back on track here... It's a great feeling to pop in here and see what everyone is up to. I actually look forward to it several times a day.

I guess in closing I just would like to thank everyone in here for the experiences that are shared. I'm always looking forward to see what's new in the Bogley community. I always pray that all will remain healthy and safe while partaking in their hobbies. Hopefully in time, I'll be able to meet up with you guys when I'm back out there. :2thumbs:

:haha:

I once saw a commercial where these two guys appear to be camping and they are discussing how they have never bungee-jumped, skydived, scuba-dived, etc. because they were afraid for different reasons, and then the camera zooms out and they are sleeping on a cot dangling on the side of a mountain (and it was this very ironic commercial about people being afraid of things that are normal to others, while doing things that would shock most people).

Anyway this site kind of reminds me of that where everyone has their different areas with which they are familiar and wonder what it would be like to be in to other people's outdoor passions.
