Best of 2006 Hiking Pictures :2thumbs:
The rules.... only one picture per post and no more then 5 pictures from any one person. The pictures must have been taken in 2006. The pictures do not have to be yours, but proper photo credit must be given and you must have permission to post the photo if it is not yours. Anything larger then 800x600 will be deleted.
I'll start this baby off with one of my favorite 2006 shots. This is my kids, Stormy and Sierra with me at House of Fire in Mule Canyon, Cedar Mesa.

This where my son and I went for his senior trip (instead of to Disneyland with his classmates.) It's in the Grand Staircase (Coyote Gulch.) I think this was actually "Spooky Gulch" We went to both places on the 5 days we spent hiking the area.

He thought so too. He is in Brazil for two years on a mission for his church now but still talks about how fun it was. Nothing like lasting memories made in the outdoors!
Few more.

Here is my favorite.
I was up doing some fishing at Silver Lake, and I brought my 400mm lens just in case the moose wanted to come out and play. I was scanning the boardwalk, when I spotted this. Funny thing is, there is a sign right next to him that says basically "what you see here today, you drink tomorrow." Looks like pops is pretty proud of his kid....

Ok, Here are my shots. I've had better shots in previous years, but here's they are. Most of 'em have my kids in them, they're always with me when I camp/hike. So not too may artsy style shots, mostly landscape & people shots.
