65* at 18:00hrs :2thumbs: The damn alligators were too scared to wait around long enough for a pic. Before we even rounded the corner, they were flying off the banks and under water in a heart beat. We were late in one cove, a 12' gator had just been out. Man, that would have been nice! One pic has a piece of meat hanging from some rope attached to a manatee awareness sign, something told me that wasn't holding a 12' gator. No manatees either. Just nice warm weather, a few houses that could have been in Deliverance and some happy cows 2thumbs:

Here is a confession: I went geocaching last month in Florida and I was kind of scared hiking around the everglades area of being attacked by an alligator. I used to live in Florida for a couple of months, but I still get really scared walking around any area that is not paved in Florida.

Any gator 12' and over will consider the average person, bait :lol8: In most areas that are populated with people, some Counties would come in and trap any Gator over 4'. At about 4' they lose that fear of humans and start to get a bit curious
You're quicker :roflol:

My Wife is from Florida, so she has dragged me down there a few times in the last thirty years. It's Too Hot, Too humid, Too Flat and there are way too many people, those gators better get to work! :naughty: :naughty:

WOw! I miss the St. Pete area! Thanks for the pics- I always liked the view from the bridge! We were always told as kids not to go out and play in the undergrowth but we did anyway..Im amazed we were never bitten or attacked...I saw plenty of snakes and crocs though. :2thumbs:
