Quote from the article: "TYLER, Texas - A one-time Texas drug agent described by his former boss as perhaps the best narcotics officer in the country plans to market a how-to video on concealing drugs and fooling police."

Here is the Barry Coopers' website:

Whadaya think? Some folks are pretty annoyed over this.

The only thing that annoys me, is that due to great demand, my DVD won't ship for 2-6 weeks.

It does seem unethical but I guess I would have to see it to judge him.

If you think about it, if he made a training video for additional ways to catch drug dealers, nobody would talk about it or want to buy it. But advertising it as a way of not getting caught gets him publicity.

If I were a cop, I would deffinetly watch it.

Make that RICH sleaze merchant. :lol8:

I think this will be a big seller.... and all the bitching is just free and welcome advertising.

This probably won't go over real big..... but.... I've met so dam many crooked cops in my life this type of thing doesn't surprise me a bit.

Bingo... Makes the search process much faster and easier. Uniformity in hiding stuff..... :haha: First sentence out of my criminal law professors mouth several years ago was "Almost all criminals are stupid"

I would agree, if we leave out drug users, who are as varied and intelligent (or not) as the rest of the population. Yes, many idiots do drugs, they were idiots before drugs, and will likely remain idiots should they ever quit. The idiots will be unaffected by this DVD, they've never heard of it, wont pay for it, wouldn't understand it, or would forget every word.

Cops working seizures for profit on our interstates (hellooooo Millard County, Utah) are no laughing matter, they will take a car for very small amounts of drugs, any tools that fight such tyranny should be widely disseminated.

Cops have many tactics they work during such traffic/seizure stops, and most people fall for them instantly (like giving consent for a search when asked), so I could see how learning these tactics from a DVD could help some people avoid trouble, and not get their car seized and sold for having twenty bucks worth of weed.

The DVD on hidden compartments probably will show someone what NOT to do, rather than showing them how to hide stuff, but that is just speculation on my part, I'll know for sure in 2-6 weeks.

Yep. Two old cliches: 'There's no such thing as negative publicity' and 'It doesn't matter what they say about you as long as they spell your name right.'

Yep. Me too.
