This year, I've been using a Teko Socks ( http://www.tekosocks.com/ ), the heavy hiker style, with a 2mm neoprene sock from NEOsports over them. I sell the Neo socks at my canyoneering store: http://www.canyoneeringusa.com and have all sizes in stock. The Teko socks you can get at many outdoor stores - I got mine at Desert Rock Sports in Las Vegas ( http://www.desertrocksportslv.com/ ).

The wooly socks are great for hiking in the hot, and for climbing and stemming. When it gets wet, I just pull the neo over the top of em, and my feet stay nice and warm.
