He just graduated from USU and he's got an Americorp positiong lined up with the Utah Conservation Corps.
He'll be a senior crew leader who will manage the crew leaders and their workers. He'll plan and organize with park officials on resource management projects in all of Utah's national parks and near by national forests.
He'll get tons of training in leadership training, wilderness first aid training, chainsaw certification in Moab, trail maintenance certification, and something at the Teton Science School in Jackson (WY).
It's only 10 months, in line with his major and interests, plus all his student loans will be paid off with the educational stipend at the end.
Of course I won't see him alot, but that gives me an excuse to drive down to the national parks on weekends!
