Spammers lately

Wow, lots of spammers lately, maybe it's because of the holidays?

Some of these idiots are posting very soon to joining, and a lot of it's the pr0no stuff. :roll:

We're trying to stay on top of it, but if we miss some, please report it to either myself or accadacca via PM.

We could delete these users as soon as they join, but that's very time consuming. Since most of them only post their thread(s) and never come back, it's much easier to just delete the thread, and remove their posting privileges when time allows.

Please have patience with this, as we converse new ways to battle Spam. And please let us know when you see some, and you don't see that we are online at that moment.

They have been driving me nuts. I figure it is probably the same 1 or 2 people and we just need to ban the i.p. address but I'm thrilled you took care of them.

I was actually gonna post something about this. Can I ask why it is so hard to delete their user ID? When I look at the user lD list, I swear that most of the last 50 are spammers.

Well, not really. Some of them do tell us, but some don't. A lot of the links in their profiles are actually invalid, and just used for ratings. Or, they're inserting SpyWare into your bunghole without you even knowing it.

I know this, because I clicked on a link that said "Indonesian Midgets getting drunk and eating Nachos". I've got a thing for that.
