Now this is a topic!

Who has a 360? They are supposed to drop $100 in price soon and that's what I have been waiting for.
Still no release date for Halo3... I wonder how much notice they will give before its released? So far they have only said 2007.
They have had quite a few hump-day challenges on H3 already so you would think its close. After all the physics bugs in H2 i am sure this game i going though QA hell right now.

I cant wait for a real game play video! Not just some stupid cut seen

I've heard that there are 2 types of 360s. One is $100 cheaper, and I'm thinking it's one that doesn't come with all of the MOD capabilities.

That trailer how been out for a few months and pretty lame if you ask me. Its just bungie cover theirs asses. You all know what happned with H2 right? They released trailers with maps, wepons, and other differences from final release... people freaked.
So bad in fact that modded maps (based on the trailers) were created for Halo CE PC.

The "core" 360 package does not have a Hard Drive (20 GB, Headset, Component HD-AV Cable, or Component HD-AV Cable.
So its work spending the extra 100 on the Premium set up.
Your going to save at least that in the first year on memory cards.

Dont those holstered weapons look great?

ATV's "Mongoose" (i was all ways pissed they pulled it from H2)
ManCannon (to replace the teleporter?)
Spartan Laser "With a direct hit, the laser will obliterate the hog and all of its occupants. And ruin their credit history."

I think there will still be teleporters, and I think the mancannon is the same kind of thing on Halo 2's Colossus board, in the center. It would be interesting though, to be able to jump, and attack from the air. I wonder if rockets could lock on to a spartan as he was in mid air....

The Valhalla board looks like it might be the same type of strategy as Blood Gulch/Coagulation. But I think it would be very wise of them to bring back the updated version of those exact two boards.

And finally, the High Ground board. This is seeming like it has the "1 base" map, similar to Zanzibar and Relic. Those are the best for playing the Offense/Defense games with one flag. You'd have to break into the base and open the gate so the Warthog could drive through.

...and yes, the Spike Grenades. Interesting. You can see one in the air right in front of the Warthog, and some exploding on the left of it.

I wish I could've talked my kids into the 360 for Christmas but they really want a wii. I just picked one up from Circuit City. To me the wii seems too childish. Oh well, I don't play that much anyway. I did get Call of Duty 3 for the wii- I like that series.

So looks like a shield grenade; pretty sweet.
I am guessing this will only be in campaign mode.
The Spartan117 sure looks a lot better with the secondary weapon on his back.

I guess I am going to need start shopping for a HDTV so I can take full advantage of the graphics.

Thanks for the advice. I've heard that the broken straps on the wii'mote is becoming commonplace. Good thing the stand-a-lone tv we have our gaming systems hooked up to is an older very replaceable set.

after all the Halo2 pre-release BS they have done away with dates. Spring 2007 for the new H2 Maps.

2007 is all they have said for h3.
BUT, if you have xbox360 w/ hd and Xbox live, they have said you WILL BE ABLE TO PLAY H3 MONTHS BEFORE ITS RELEASED (multiplayer on XBL only).

I haven't. I'm assuming the GT means the Xbox Live GamerTag? I don't have Xbox Live yet.
