Has anyone here looked into or hiked all or parts of the Hayduke Trail? I just picked up the guidebook for it in Durango today and thought the idea was interesting. It looks tough though - 800+ plus miles through the lonely, dry, desolate Colorado Plateau. It's not like the Appalachian Trail where you can return to civilization quite often if you need something.

Looks real interesting, right through the most beauiful country in the USA. Hey didn't Hayduke drive a jeep? LOL
