Ephraim Wal-Mart at noon there was a group with small tents & sleeping bags waiting to be first in line. I don't get it.

People out here in SD have been waiting like 28 hours straight now. Damn, it would have to be something VERY special for me to wait that long. These people crack me up paying hundreds/thousands of dollars over cost, as they will all be sold for like $399 or so in like 45 days.

Does anybody remember that Furby crazy a number of years back? Retail was like 20 bucks, and people were buying/selling them for over onehundred, however, the day after new years, a more came in, and all sold for 20 bucks again. haha

Okay, I'll be the first to tell you that I'm a gaming geek and I help run Xbox-Hq.com (a website that teaches others how to modify their xboxes), so of course I'm going to defend the gamers.


Last night PS3s were selling for about 600. Right now those same PS3s are on sell on eBay for over 2000. Do any of you guys make $1500 every 48 hours? Anyway, waiting in line and selling it will well pay for a new PS3, 360 and give you a $1000 profit on top of it.

anyone who would pay 2000$ for a gaming device is essentially as bad a as a drug addict jonesin' for some smack.

I never thought about the profit side of waiting in line. If that is their intent more power to them and poor pity the player that pays the inflated price.

I remember buying the original Nintendo for my kids. I almost immediatley regretted it for fear of the time/addiction of it. But as time passed by the game just became another form of entertainment for them when there was nothing else to do.

I've channel surfed and ran accrossed "Gaming Events" that filled stadiums with monitors and game boxes. Players and spectators just going nuts. I guess the addictions is as real as being outdoors is to the Uutah.com people.

We live in one hell of a diversified world.

Ya gotta take into account that their are people out there that are filthy smackin rich, and spending 3k on a PS3 for their kid for Christmas is really nothing. Some parents go to extremes to make sure their kids are happy. I wasn't aware that they came out today or I would have set up camp at the local Best Buy.

cheating is lame, I used to care about my rank but once you get in the mid 30's you start seeing a lot of cheaters.
So i try and hang out in the low 20's and play a lot of unranked games.

I am hooked on PSP, Fireteam Bravo 1 & 2. I am addicted and have spent to many all nights playin over the net goin crazy. With that said, there is no way in hell I am gonna camp outside for a new PS3 or anything like that. I enjoy watching the clips of people getting crazy and trampled over that stuff. Correct me if I am wrong, I believe Walmart limited one PS3 per person this go around? And from the vibe on the internet and Sony's website it doesnt look like the price is going to drop any time soon.
