Anybody know if there is still access into Segers Hole. All the Topos show jeep trails going in, but I am not sure if they have been closed or not. For that matter, which trails are open in the Swell and which have been closed?

The road to the upper end was open a few months ago, but that was before the big floods.

I haven't heard of any roads being officially "closed." I think it's just a matter of if your vehicle can get over it, then it's open. I've seen some impassible roads in the Swell north of I-70, but as far as the BLM or Emery County is concerned, they're open. I think if you've got a 4x4 and a shovel or two, you can get around just about anything.

"Road" through Lower Muddy Creek is definately closed now.
Same with the one to Swaseys Leap and the one to the bottom end of Lower Black Box. That's about all I can think of.
The county is claiming that Quandary Canyon is a "road", but that one is definately closed unless you have one bad arse vehicle. :roflol:

For some reason I assumed that Reedus meant closed due to being washed out. I don't think anything has been opened or closed since the route designations were put into place in 2003. My current San Rafael Motorized Route Designations map (3/2006) shows that the roads into Seger's Hole are indeed open.

Ya I meant BLM closures. I have a dirt bike, but was wondering exactly where it allowed to ride and where it is banned. There seems to primitve jeep trails everywhere in the Swell, but I am not sure is they are legal to drive on anymore.
