Survivorman in Canyonlands

Did anyone catch the Survivorman episode in Canyonlands?

From the GPS coords he flashed it appears to be near Green River, perhaps south a bit. He was not near the river. Filmed last winter.

Anyone care to comment on the critter he ate?

The web site says it's a "ground squirrel." Did he hunt or trap it on Canyonlands, or does he just keep some squirrel on hand for just such an eventuality? And if he did hunt or trap it, is it legal to do that in Canyonlands?

Richard, I do not think he was inside the park. I think they just used the term "Canyonlands" in a generic sense.
