What's with the handlebars? To lean forward more?

Cool bike, the bike shop up by the U has a single speed surly pugsley (http://www.surlybikes.com/pugsley.html) in stock.

Quite a few of my winter cycling (http://www.bikeforums.net/forumdisplay.php?f=53) forum members put sheet metal screws in there tires for winter riding:

I'd sacrifice my first born for a Pugsly. I don't need one, I just want one.

Pugsleys look rediculously heavy to me. Mostly just the wheels. Never actually picked one up though. Guess it'd be fun to tool around on.

It certainly isn't a race bike, although I've heard of them being used on MTB courses with alot of sand...

I didnt know the Large Marge tires fit anything but a Pugsley. The Pugsley rocks! AND it's not all that heavy really but don't take my word for it...I ride a Rocky Mountain RM9 as my 'beater' bike -50#- so what do I care about weight :ne_nau:

Actually, you dont want to lean forward more. It's like riding in sand, weight off the front wheel.

We used to ride in the winter a lot in Michigan. A very interesting spin on the sport :-)

been dying to take my RM9 out and bomb the hills under cover of snow but around here you have to wait til its friggin cold to keep the dirt/mud off the wheels....and my tires are 2.7" and very little room SO is best if I ride one of my others setup with the studs....ice riding is fun! Illl have to post some pics when the skating pond ices the rest of the way..what a ball!

Yes, I built it about 5 years ago. Coverted a closet and a storage room -built it from the ground up & ordered a finnish style saunacore heater from BC canada....Ive spent alot of time in there...room for several 'close bodies :naughty:

when I was a kid my parents bought a house from a Finnish couple - they had a sauna in the backyard. I didn't really pay attention to it until I discovered girls  then.... we'd tell them that the sauna was best when nude. :2thumbs:
