Beets are to blame. I was cutting raw beets for an awesome beet soup, didn't want to use a cutting board because they stain everything, so I was holding a beet in me hand and pressing the knife against it :haha: Probably the most moronic way to cut something.

The first shave is always the worst. Get some sun on there and be free of it for good. :nod:

Kap'n - I can't laugh too hard. I stabbed myself in the thumb, severing my tendon, at boy scout camp one year. Whittling a stick while pointing the knife at my other hand. Hindsight is 20/20.

If you saw some fatty tissue exposed in the cut while you were cleaning it - I'd opt for stitches. Of course, after a day or two - it's prolly a little late for 'em anyway.

Keep it clean, butterfly it closed and keep on keeping on. Alcohol and/or hydrogen peroxide is your friend. Sure, THAT alcohol can be your friend too. :rockon:

Nix the hydrogen peroxide use a saline wash instead, does not irritate the skin like H2O2 besides the peroxide doesn't kill bacteria as effectivley. To do that use bacitracin ointment.

And I was told once with a trip to the ER for Sarah. If you think you need stiches go immediately they will not stich something like a cut to the hand up after 6 hours has lapsed. I don't know if that goes for all ER's or just the one we were at.

Gee don't scare me guys.

I couldn't wash it initially because there was too much blood coming out. I've been using Neosporin. It's not leaking bood anymore, it does not hurt anymore. Hopefully, I am Scot-free.

Shlingdawd, I wanted to reward myself with a drink of scotch after the whole ordeal, but unfortunatly I had just took the first of 20 antibiotic pills prescribed to me for some sort of flu. Sucks!

This is what I've discovered from the aging process in myself and friends, and my own mid-life crisis: The number of minutes it takes you to get to "cute" correlates closely to your age, sagging boobage can create the unexpected side effect of a face lift and cutting your hair short it preferable to going all cougar and getting a 20-something boyfriend. Really.

I'm finding with this GoPro, I don't take still shots with my other camera anymore, I can just take the stills out of the video footage.
....unless I want a NICE photo, then of course a still camera would do much better. But for me it's always been more about quantity than quality. lol

He's healing pretty good. He's even been snowmobiling a couple of times. He can't lift the sled up by himself yet when he gets stuck but he's still getting out. His ribs will probably stay broken forever though, they'll just stay like that.

I can't remember if or when I've ever posted here before, but here is a photo of me when we were snowshoeing near Molas Lake, off Hwy 550 about 6 weeks ago. Part of the Grenadier Range is behind me, and the Colorado Trail is somewhere in the valley below.

You can't really tell, but I was nearly sweating my ass off here, even though it was only in the 30's. Gotta love snowshoeing for a helluva workout....:nod:

I spend a lot of time in the desert somewhere or racing with my 2 boys! They've raced since age 4 and we have a great time riding, camping, hiking, backpacking. We are very respectful riders and love the great outdoors.

Here's a picture of the gnu guy, Ronnie Coldbowl - Desert Hobo (uh.. me) hiking solo as usual, as I attempted to visit 'The Wave' on February 21 of this year. I never actually made it to the wave because there was so many other cool landscapes to traverse. I wandered around the area capturing photos for 6 hours until the sun got tired and fell out of the sky. Figured I was a mere 200 yards from the popular spot - No regrets. I should write a trip report of the day, actually.
