I think I'll wait about 12 month's so Microsoft has time to plug all the holes in the security that every new MS product comes with. I would hate to be the first on my block to catch the latest and greatest virus

Maybe after a few months I will install. But normally after I run into some program or website the requires it to be installed.
I am not anti-MS, its just all their product come with a huge bulls-eye for malware and viruses.

Microsoft stopped developing IE for Mac in 2001. Can I vote anyway?

Every piece of Microsoft software I ever used for Mac OS 9 or Mac OS X has been a bloated dinosaur from the minute I started it. It's little wonder it's the most popular code in the world - mediocrity is very non-threatening.

Currently very, very happy with Firefox 1.5.0.7 for OS 10.4.8.

interestingly, microsoft has completely stopped working on IE for mac

that project, as far as i know, has been junked.

from what i have read in the past while at times mozilla browsers have been also vulnerable to security problems, the security problems that IE has infamously boasted tend to be more severe and detrimental.

i hope with this version they are able to substantially improve on this.

IE7 will be pushed via Windows Update, so either you like it or not, you will have IE7. I like the new changes and it seems it's very stable so far. Though I still use FireFox primarely.

I voted "Need more Time"

You really only need to use Internet Explorer Once. Start it, type http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/ in the URL window, download Firefox, and use it from then on.

Firefox is getting better, but its becoming more prone to malware everyday for the same reason that IE is so virus prone.

Yeah I primarily use a mac (powerbook) too. I installed it on my windows machine at home. My wife uses this machine and she wont be as critical of browsers. However, at some point I will need to install a copy on my windows testing machine here at work. Then we'll (the web team) pick it apart, so stay posted.

I've been using it for some time now and am very happy with it. I haven't had issues with it.
