a man who goes by the name Wyoming Dave asked me to post that he's found a lost camera.

he found the camera on October 7 in zion.

he'd be happy to return the camera to its rightful owner.

if you feel it is yours (or someone you know), contact him(them) via email and send a description.

Hello -

Not my camera, but all day today I listened to a friend whine about losing an expensive digital in Pine Creek. The camera is probably toast, but the memory chip in there has hundreds of photos from the past few months of canyons. Let me know if this might be it. She lost it on Sat the 7th.

The camera has still not found its way back home. Dave asked me to post these pics from the memory card in the hope someone might know someone....

Out of curiosity.... Anyone recognize the summit?

Funny how a guy like Wyoming Dave doesn't take the time and register over here, but goes through the hassle of asking someone alse to do it. Must be against the Yahoo group rules to post "on the dark side".

dude? why you gotta be like that?

so judgemental :nono:

maybe he's afraid he'll be sucked in and spend all his time on the internet rather than playing outside. people have their reasons.

and why would RAM read/post here if that were the case.

The power of the Dark Side is strong. Patience my young friend. In time Wyoming Dave will seek you out, and when he does, you must bring him before me. He has grown strong. Only together can we turn him to the Dark Side.

It's more of a learning curve ~imho~. Some of us got use to yahoo and it was hard as heck, even with all the wonderful people here, to visit. I resisted change... but now I sort of like it. Shane showed me THE button -----to view all posts since the last visit-------- months ago --- but I still resisted change --- for a while. The good thing is once someone follows Darth they are usually stuck for good.

yahoo.... :roflol:
that's the worst, most outdated webbernet forum on the planet.
it pains me to use it!

like using a PC runing DOS..... :lol8:

i feel right at home here on the darkside :haha:

What is so judgemental about that??? You and I both know from past discussions on both sides that there is a dividing line between these forums. [Some] people over there can't stand people over here and vice versa. I personally think it is childish and stupid, but whatever. That fact that Wyoming Dave (who I don't know personally, but know he is part of Rams crew) won't post here about a lost camera just comes off to me as childish. My bad for assuming, maybe he had different reasons for asking someone else to post but if I were in Vegas, I would place my bets that it was because of animosity between different canyoneers. I will even go so far as to say that I really don't know anybody on this forum besides Shaggy and Ben, but I get an idea of what people are like from what they post. I would probably have a heck of time canyoneering with you Stefan if I got the chance to really know you, but I only know the (assumed) left wing liberal environmentalist Stefan who can't stand the right wing conservative ANTIenvironmentalist Reedus. Seriously Stefan, no ill feelings. Take what I have to say on this board with a grain of salt as I don't have the eloquence of placing words in type as i feel about them as you do. Same goes with you James, I don't mean to piss people off, but I do when I mention my dislike of F-bombs and such in an argument that was not relevant to what I posted.
Keep it real

The "dark side" goes rather well with the uutah color scheme. :lol8:

Yeah the whole Yahoo thing is just about education. People do get stuck in their ways, me included at times. The good thing is once you turn to uutah you wont go back. Kinda like switching from sugar free koolaid. :boozer: Ya know, the cool thing is that everyone here on uutah will welcome them with open arms. We get our panties in a wad from time to time on subjects. But for the most part things are very chill and we like to have a good time. That's why I like it around here...FUN, that's the goal. :five:

Don't forget my Zion Yahoo group is not THE Yahoo group the guys are talking about! :boxing: We are nice in it, but it is limited to exploring (whatever way you want to) Zion and the nearby area. (I have a Grand Canyon one too)

Here there is a variety of interesting people here that I like. (I swear it has nothing to do with all those handsome mugs that are popping up)

Also there is the dark master, if he won't come visit, I have to come and visit him.

well reedus, if you hardly know the guy, and you have not heard him speak outwardly against uutah, what business do you have being presumptious and spectulating about his reasons on a forum he's not even on. why throw it out into the open in such an accusatory fashion? are you trying to create more animosity? what exactly is your motivation? i really don't see the problem with his asking me to post it here. i can think of a number of nonmalicious reasons for it too. one thing's for sure your post doesn't exactly help to create a welcoming atmosphere.

acca is right, this forum is for the most part pretty chill. there are a lotta good people here that i enjoy hearing from and talking with, and it's great reading trip reports along side photos and movies. we all stir up the pot from time to time, but for the most part everyone plays fair.

i really like the egroups too.

no it's not like that. it just bothers me when someone makes an unfair comment ... that comment i thought was unfair. the one you made towards mr. wads was unfair too.

By the same token then why do you and others make debasing comments about the LDS church? I fail to understand AT ALL the motives behind tearing down any religion for that matter. And the real kicker to me is why the LDS church? If any topic ever arises here on this forum about religion, it is always about the LDS church and peoples grievances with it. Has anyone ever bagged on Catholics or Jehovahs Witnesses? Not on here. I know you will probably respond by saying all your comments aren't debasing, but the stuff you post indirectly hints at your true feelings.

As for the James comment, it had no place in the current discussion, I admit. But at the same time I don't know why he had to insert the F-bombs in the discussion. I thought it inappropriate, but addressed it incorrectly. I have said the same thing concerning other posts and links that I thought inappropriate. And before you say "if you don't like it, then leave" I remind you that this is an Outdoor forum. I should be able to let a 6 year old kid on this site without worrying about him reading a rant of f-bombs or clicking on a link to pixelated porn. IMHO

Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God my ears are burning. Man I read my post on this thread a thousand times. Am I missing something? When did

James, you mention that I want things on a level that I think is decent. Not so, just on a level that general society deems appropriate. Do you think Walmart or Albertsons would carry a magazine that featured nudity even if the image was pixelated? Don't think so. Would you feel comfortable using vulgar language with somebody you hardly knew in the checkout line? Probably not. My point is that people are on here to discuss Outdoors not read vulgar rants or view objectionable material. I could look past it, but when I want to show my nephews pictures and stuff I am leery. Can't we keep compromise and come to an agreement on what can and shouldn't be posted on here?

Reedus

P.S - you dodged my question on religion. Why do you single out the LDS religion?
