I want an enduro of sorts but dont want to go broke.
I need recommendations for one.. or point me to one.

What size should i be looking at for all around riding on street but hopefully more mountain/desert stuff.. Looking at getting out a bit more than now.

Honda has a nice enduro line. They have several that can also be converted. I.E. adding a plate and signals to be made street legal for about $500. I would look at the CRF-X models. Fourtycal just bought a CRF450X. Very good choice and this is coming from a KTM guy. Honda also has a CRF250X. While KTM has a 400, 450 and a very sexy 525. The BMW shop in North Salt Lake will have them, they are also a KTM dealer now and they may even let you ride them. http://accolademotorsports.com/

For unbeatable reliability, I would look at a Honda XL650, or a XR650 because it is liquid-cooled (just go order a street legal kit from Baja designs, and you are good to go). Both of these bikes are bullet-proof and will not require the valve adjustment intervals of the CRF with it's titanium valves.

Oh, Suzuki DRZ's and Kawasaki's KLR's are pretty great bikes as well. Ktms are very nice, but more expensive for what you get. IMO.

Your smoking grass dude. :bandit2: Dont get me started...the parts that come on a KTM are way, way, way better from the factory. :blahblah:

Don't get me wrong, I love KTMs, in fact, my brother just bought a KTM 950 Super Enduro two weeks ago.

I would probably own a KTM (if I have the money), but they are just more expensive than their japanese counterpart...yes, you have a more unique bike, but you pay for it. We might have beat the japs at WWII, but they are beating the world when it comes to product reliability, quality, and fit & finish.

Sorry to butt in here.... butt I have to say this......

Though Accolade Motor Sports may now carry KTM - they are pretty much the same dickwads that ruined the BMW Dealership!

Head down to the Edge Motorsports at the point of the mountain in Draper - (used to be Beus Isuzu) - they are carrying a nice selection of KTMs and have a good parts and tech department. - These guys bought out the old KTM Dealer and have worked hard to build it into a nice shop - one look and you'll agree.

That is all.
