went up to lake blanche and beyond today. on the cliffs above lillian i found a strange object. great mystery of mysteries ! what can it be ? never have i seen such a thing as now my eyes bespy. from whence does it come, what manner of thing is it ? perchance an ancient native of the land once used it to bring forth the fire needed for warmth, or to roast the game freshly slain. aliens ! aliens, could be, have touched this very object to entrance those they choose to abduct, for whatever purpose. or possibly a pioneer made sweet music upon it as the evening light waned and with full bellies they congregated around the hearth. one thing only is for sure, never have i seen such a thing as this and cannot begin to fathom its purpose.
