You may have heard about Pope Benedict XVI's comments regarding the tendancies of violence by the Muslims. He also apologized for his comments, fearing they were received under the wrong context.

So anyways, the Muslims were so offended at the Pope's comments mentioning their tendancy to violence... They disagreed with him so much, that they started riots.
