I heard they recently removed "the outhouse on the top of the world" or whatever it was people called it and now are making you pack everything out?
If so, what an outrage!? :frustrated:

It could still be packed out, only it would be using the Snake river this time. :lol8:

I've used that pooper several times before :lol8:
It is the old crapper in the Lower Saddle of Grand Teton (I think). It was flown in by chopper every spring and removed in the fall.
About 5 years ago it was removed forever. Now if you pack it in you must pack it out :haha:
And yes.... the view was spectacular :2thumbs:
Oh yeah.... boys and girls pooped side-by-side. That was a little strange for me cause sometimes I get stage fright

That is quite a picturesque potty. What better place to answer nature's call than in nature? There's a wall between the seats now, though it's not much higher that what's in the picture.
I've got no problem with packing out my poop, just be warned that those bags are designed for solid waste only. There was something about having a load of urine in the top of my pack that made me nervous (I put it in the top so the weight of my gear wouldn't cause it to pop open). It didn't leak, but I think I was lucky.
Well the second time I was up there I saw the sign that said to pee off the west side of the saddle, so I did. I hiked a few steps off the ridge, situated my back to the breeze, and proceed to answer nature's call. I was mid-tinkle when a big gust of wind (no, I did not create the gust) came up the slope, carried a fine mist of the mountain dew aloft, and deposited it right in my face. It's way funnier now than it was then and it was pretty funny then.
