Sure in the '80s..... Now they are just a bunch on Napster hatin', cuttin' their hair, whiney, sniffling, old men. Just a washed up '80s band that is getting cred from the likes of VH-1/MTV. Cause they thrive on the attention......much, much more influential bands out there. The media just grabs who is available and starving for the attention. Then glorifies the hell outta them. Just a mediasterbation....nothing new.

The only metal that came out of that band was Dave Mustaine, who founded Megadeth.

Notice how everytime they are about to release an album, they say "This one sounds more Old School", and it never does.

(I know you're just seeking a reaction from us, :haha: but I'll continue) Metallica was formed as a combatant to the GLAM rockers of Sunset BLVD. They wanted to play faster, harder, and louder than anybody. That's when they were good. And then the Black album came out. Sure, it was a huge seller, but this is when Lars laughed at the critics and said "we haven't been metal for 8 years".

The thing is, they don't care. We call them sellouts, but they agree and say, "yep, we sell out every night". It's just about money, and not loyalty to the fans that made them successful.

PLEASE i know you rockers have enough respect for them to agree with that point. Rockgremlin's right.

As for the hardest band in the world... I listen to stuff that would SCARE little Larsie Ulrich.

My favorite album was Kill 'Em All (Hit the Lights, No Remorse, Phantom Lord, Seek and Destroy), I think they went downhill from there.

Oh, don't get me started on Metallica. I cannot stand that band. I agree with Donny H though. Kill em all was the best album but I also agree that Dave Mustain was the best part of that band. I can't stand them now. Lars Ulrich especialy. He made this claim that people downloading music off the internet was taking money away from him. How could he feed his family? I say, did you know he is a painter and sells his painting for 250,000 each? I'm willing to say that if I went into his house, opened his cupboerd, and it was empty...I would eat glass.
