I did this to my sister in law, but didn't record it. Now everybody has caller ID, so it's hard for me to get away with it.
Basically, you call somebody, and you put the phone next to your computer speakers, but so you can still hear the phone call. Select a soundboard, such as the Napoleon Dynamite one, and play the different responses to their conversation.
They will think they are talking to a real person.
Here is the link to the sound boards. They may take a while to load.

Below are some sample prank calls made with the boards. They are audio only.

Miss Cleo (http://media.ebaumsworld.com/cleo1.mp3)
Office Space (http://media.ebaumsworld.com/officespace1.mp3) **the F bomb is dropped once**
Judge Judy (http://media.ebaumsworld.com/judy1.mp3)
Sling Blade (http://media.ebaumsworld.com/slingblade1.mp3)
Jack Nicholson - A few good men (http://media.ebaumsworld.com/jacknich.mp3)
For those of you who are blocked by a firewall, see the attached audio files. They are a little compressed, but you can still hear it pretty good, and you may have to turn up your volume a little.
