I went up to the reservior today, just a short hike after work. This is an easy 1 mile hike, although steep for young ones at some points. The hike was about 1:30 hours with a 7 year old, we spent about 45 minutes walking around the reservoir. It is a watershed area so no dogs or swimming.

Update: There is still construction at the Granite trailhead but, you can park there. The parking area is being expanded for more parking space, a bathroom is now there, and a retaining wall is being built.

Great hike for the little guys. I discovered some more trail up there last time I went. continue up the road past the resovoir just 100 yards or so and branch off to the right. there are some nice non-strenuous trails that circle around the backside of the lake too.

It's great to see some trails not under 5 feet of snow anymore :2thumbs:
