Iron Wash, San Rafael Swell, February 4-5 2005

The weather forecast was good, and it was time to leave my buried in snow town for some sun and desert. Three year old Kessler was ready for some exploring as well and desperately wanted to get outside. The San Rafael Swell seemed like a good choice.

I had wanted to explore Iron Wash and Lone Man Draw to the Cedar Mesa Sandstone to see if there was a slot. I also wanted to hike Iron wash through the Reef since I haven

Nice job! Hopefully the mod will get things rectified with the photo posting. I'd like to see your pics.

Great story Scott! Talk about priceless moments, hearing comments from a three year old like that. What a trooper you have there.

He will remember those hikes for a long time, great job :2thumbs:

Hey, I checked out your pics -- that little indian ruin is sure a curious little find. Those ancients picked the weirdest spots to set up residence!

I also checked out some of your other pics. This one is REALLY cool!

Where is Enigma Canyon? Or within what general area if you prefer to keep it on the DL?

Enigma is in the Swell.

The pics turned out nice in Enigma, but actually the Gems are better canyons.
