Headed down to North Wash with Ben and some others for a trip down Shenanigans. It was real narrow and lots of fun. I made a video that anyone interested can watch here:

Enjoy.

Eric.

PS we also upclimbed the left fork of lep so that video is still to come.

I'll have to try out that video.google thing. It's pretty cool you can upload files of any length or size.

Now I just have to get outdoors and do something fun

@#*$! homework... :frustrated:

No just a mini DV camcorder. I put it in a pelican case and strap it to my chest for easy access. Just waiting to destroy it so I can justify buying the accidental insurance. :compthrow:

Awesome video! Kudos to ya! :2thumbs: :2thumbs:

Did you ever get a little worried when the canyon got really tight as it did? I mean, since you have never done it before.

I've heard the weight limit to get through is 190 lbs, would you say this is accurate?

Yes. 2 folks have gotten through at that weight. Matt Smith an hour or so before the video folks went through and myself on December 30th. At 190 one needs to go to the knee a bunch and crawl a little. 4 or 5 folks around 180 lb have made it through without having to crawl and most without going to the knee either, but with a bunch of chest compressing squeezes. This is just the folks I know and in the last 4 years. Great canyon.

Not really, there was a group in front of us with a 190 lb guy. We figured if he wasn't jammed in the slot screaming for help, we were going to be ok :2thumbs:

Thanks. Looks like it was "hella" fun in that canyon. How long did it take from start to finish? What was the distance of your trip thru it?

From car to car it was about 7-8 hours, but we waited for a while up top letting the group in front of us get a head start, then took our time in the canyon. Also we killed a lot of time with everyone stripping down and changing into their swimming suits. If you have two cars, or if you start real early from the pavement you can do Shenanigans, then one of the Leprechaun forks as the exit out Butler Canyon puts you about 100 yards from the head of the right fork of Lep.
