Something tells me that most of the people on here will have infant/toddler photos to post! :haha:
80s Bands: Gosh...so many! Journey (Steve Perry as the lead singer) is probably my favorite 80s group. Van Halen a close second. A favorite song was Whitesnakes' "Is This the Love?" I once dated a guy for 6 months because he looked like the lead singer.....hair and all. :ne_nau:
Car: 1982 Corvette (which turned out to be a major lemon - but it looked really good) :2thumbs:

And here are a couple more pictures of me from the 80's. The first was taken on Moab's Slickrock trail. This is just about the time that the route was starting to become really popular nationally with mountain bikes. I first road Slickrock on a motorcycle the first year it was constructed, which I believe was 1969. Slickrock was originally constructed as a motorcycle trail.
The second picture is of a couple of deer I shot up Big Cottonwood Canyon when it was still legal to hunt in the canyon with a high powered rifle. I used to love hunting in Big Cottonwood. The hunting was really difficult but there were some really big deer living in the canyon.

I could tell that just by looking at your photo. :haha: That's why I said I would have most likely been in trouble. For whatever reasons I always seem to go for that bad boy. Maybe it's just the challenge. :lol8:

I ruled out school pics, and after looking through the few pics of me from the rest of the 80s, I couldn't find a single picture of me, sober, that couldn't be considered evidence.

Same here. Besides, I don't have any 80s photos scanned except for a 1981 Mardi Gras photo where I masqueraded as Dolly Parton - blonde wig and "enhancements where necessary". :haha: That's NOT something I want offered up on the net. :roflol:

See, now I'm thinkin' everyone's school pics would be hilarious.

Okay, I will post a school pic, and an evidence pic, if I can post a couple from the 90s for balance.
I need to hook up my scanner.
Savanna, I understand you don't want your Dolly pic on the net, my email is joeblow420 at mail dot com, send your pic to me, I promise I won't post it online. Much. :haha:
Edit: Can't get my scanner to work, oh well.

Likely story - it's your 80's hair you don't want us to see isn't it?

Wait until we do a "I love the 70's" thread and I'll post some pictures of my bell bottom pants (called floor dusters because the bell was huge), ballon sleeve shirt and platform shoes. :five:

Um, I had long hair in the 80s, I would actually prefer showing those pics to the "balding-hippy-in-denial-with-a-ponytail-David Crosby-George Carlin-look" that I had through the 90s and into this century.
Now I'm all about shaving my melon, low maintenence ROCKS.

Yep, its Kings Peak. 1987 two weeks after turning 13.
Cotton socks, old tennis shoes, levis, cotton t-shirt, and an old canvas jacket.

#2 best selling album throughout the entire '80s decade.
Michael Jackson's Thriller was #1.
Good thing AC/DC kept the rock scene on the map.

JOURNEY :rockit: ! My favorite band in high school. I had the major hots for Steve Perry, and I saw the band in concert when I was a sophomore, maybe?
Other bands I totally loved: Boston (although more of a late '70's band) Rush, Van Halen, REO Speedwagon [saw them in concert as well] Duran-Duran (yeah, yeah....I know). Also sort of enjoyed Def Leppard and I had Back in Black on LP.
Ah...the glory days of the early '80's while in high school. I don't have any pics scanned of me during that era, mercifully.
When I finally got a car, it was a piece of shit Datsun B210. I remember going out on a date with a guy who drove a Pontiac Firebird (hmm...is that even the right name?) and I was impressed. Gads.... :lol8:
I remember back when the video arcades were really popular and how I ended up briefly dating different guys that worked there and how cool it was to get free tokens to play Tempest (the only video game I could play). And it was really cool because the guys went to.....different high schools than me! Ooohhh..
What a funny flashback this thread is.
Speaking of the '80's, anyone else have their 20 year H.S. reunion recently? Mine was 2 yrs. ago. It was quite interesting to see how everyone has changed: some of the nerds blossomed into major success stories and some of the popular girls were totally dumpy looking. And yet, some people looked exactly the same....how is that?

canyonphile - we could have hung together! Rush was the reason I became a drummer back then & they still rock! :drums: Reo came in concert in Honolulu when I lived on Maui planing pineapples - parents sent me there 'cause they didn't know what to do with me :cool2:

I had Rush's "Moving Pictures" album, but I liked pretty much everything they did that I heard. Great band. Never hear them on the radio anymore, though. Major nostalgia when I do hear a song by them - totally reminds me of my cross-country days.
When I saw REO in concert, the opening band was Loverboy! Haha! I actually had that album - all I remember about the cover is men in tight red leather pants and how I thought that was sexy :ne_nau:

A couple of years ago, my wife and I flew to San Jose to see Styx (without Dennis DeYoung), REO Speedwagon, and Journey (without Steve Perry). The guy that was singing lead for Journey sounded a lot like Perry but my wife did not think he was anywhere near as good looking as Perry.
I really didn't care much for the music of the 80's, especially the synthesized stuff. But those three groups were pretty decent.

In 1980 I bought a brand new Camero Z-28 with t-tops. The Z-28 was chevies sister car to the Pontiac Trans-Am. The back seat of that Camero seen more action then a pinball machine :haha:
High school girls were easy.... all you needed was a hot car eclipsee_steering
I went to my 20 year HS reunion.... there were just a bunch of old people there so I took my hot young stripper wife and left to go bar hopping :2thumbs:

when people tell me that they are having a hard time getting pregnant, I usually ask "Have you tried having sex in the back of a Camaro? That worked for a lot of girls in my high school." :haha:

:haha: My wife and I were having a hard time getting pregnant. I was getting ready to take her to a bar, buy her a few drinks, and meet her out by the dumpster.
I'm hearing that's a successful method.

I still have albums of Rush...in great shape 'cause of course they would be 'worth something' someday right? I have an import audiophile disc of 2112 from Denmark that has never left the plastic...and nearly every one of their others. Went to the signals concert back in the early 80's & haven't seen them since.
