My friend Abbie took these pictures of me in LCC. Thought I looked tough, so I'm sharing.

I'll give a kiss to anyone that can name the problems I'm on. (and don't say "your problem is that you're not wearing a shirt" or anything dumb like that.)

He's referring to the cobblestone you're climbing at Maple Canyon as choss, which is a term that means "dirty or loose rock."

FYI While Maple Canyon looks chossy as hell in pictures, the cobble stone is surprisingly solid on established routes (although the occasional cobble has been known to pop loose). Maple is highly acclaimed for the unique experience of climbing on cobblestone... Expert and novice climbers seem to flock there from around the world. There are some good easy climbs, but a lot of it is 5.11 to 5.14 in difficulty. It is my favorite place to climb.

Hey price, sorry it got a little sidetracked, but can you explain what you mean by "twisted". As I haven't even begun to climb yet, is twisted the certain position you have gotten into on those pics?

i think is referring to the name of the piece of rock that he is climbing at

It's the name of the bouldering problem. Bouldering meaning, climbing without a rope but not climbing high enough to need one. Think short but hard moves. Problem meaning those sequence of moves. It's just the lingo of the sport. Every route or problem is given a name, such as "Twisted" or "The Manly-Arete." Then climbing areas or walls or "crags" have their given names too. It's just so we can sound cool and be like, "hey man lets go clip some bolts at "The Slips" this afternoon" or "Let me just grab my rack and I'll met you at "The Coffin"" or "strap on the pad and let's go tic at "The Cabbage Patch.""

So yeah, Twisted is derived from the position one's body is in while climbing it.
