Ahhhh... my favorite day hike in the Uintas. Short climb to awesome views from the ridge (where this shot was taken) big peaks, waterfalls, fish, and even cliff jumping. This place is awesome! I should write up a TR one of these days.

Well that does it. I have a whole bunch of random pics on this site:

www.zoto.com

click on community then search for Shaggy125 (my username). All of these pics are on there and are full printable size. I haven't organized many of the pics I posted here yet, but most of the pics are organized by what area of the state they were taken in. Posting this was a major waste of time, but gave me a break between studying to remember some great trips. Can't wait to get outside again. Hope you all enjoyed, and I'll have to start hooking up with some of you on trips one of these days.

Eric.

I don't think posting all of these pics was a waste of time. You've got some real talent, and I enjoyed viewing them. I especially like the action shots (wakeboarding, jeep safari, etc).

These pics will look really great when we get them on a random thumbnail generator on the home page.

Incidently, where's Adam's Canyon?

Yea, I meant it killed a lot of time when I should have been studying. I knwo how much I love looking at all your pics, so it's only fair that I take some time and post my own.

Adam's Canyon is near Layton. The trailhead starts from 89 (do they still call it mountain road). I think the trailhead might officially be in Kaysville? Not sure, I'm not super familiar with the area, except I dated a chick for a long time that lived in fruit heights. She knew where the trail was, I just pretty much followed.

Ahhh... are you guys in for a treat. Too bad it's winter now and it will be a while before you can actually go. It's a place called Tanner Park. It's a popular place to take your dog. The park is south of I-80, just as it intersects I-215 near the mouth of Parleys Canyon. There is grass and a playground near the parking lot, but if you continue past the park it drops into a gully full of trees and a small stream. Follow the stream until you come to a tunnel running under I-215. Wear your swimming suit, bring some small floatation devices, walk up the tube and when I was there last some boards with rope hooked to them were set up at the top. You dam off the creek with the boards, let the water build up, then pull the boards out causing a tidal wave that shoots you through the tube at mach 10 speed. It's a lot of fun. The first time we went it kind of sucked because we weren't going very fast. Luckily some chick that had been a bunch of times taught us the "proper" way to dam and release water into the tube and it was a blast once we got it figured out. I've attached a google earth file that shows you where it is.

Eric.

Cool. Thanks man. That Google Earth is great, isn't it? I'll give Tanner Park a go next spring.
