Hi all. I am a UTAG transplant. I came across the boards am am excited by what I see. My most recent pick ups have been riding around 200 miles a week on my new roadie and expanding my hiking horizons with more challenging mountaineering routes. I would love to get together with anyone interested in climbing Lone Peak etc.. before the snow flies. Also anyone needing any beta on geocaching feel free to pm me or whatever.

SUP Bigben!! Is that some sort of big fish that you are holding in your avatar? Whats the story?

That is a 26lb halibut caught on a 3/4 day charter off of Dana Point in So. Cal. It was a big fish and I could not believe how much it smacked around on the boat after it was caught. It sounded like someone hitting the deck of the boat with a wood baseball bat!

We alo got into some baracuda boils and those were amazing to see and catch. I will try to attach a few more pics.

I went halibut fishing once. I caught my first fish, then the sea got the best of me. I started throwing over some stomach chum. I was done after that. One bit of advice... don't stop at McD's right before going out on a boat on the ocean!

Hey everyone. Same person---->different user name.

The barracuda from that trip was tastey. The captain told us to put the fillets in a marinade of italian dressing and it worked out well.
