For knowing almost nothing about mechanics, I must say this task was pretty easy. I was able to put my 4" lift on my '93 YJ in about 8 hours.
I only had basic tools, like a floor jack, wrenches and a hammer.
Most of the parts were rusty, so that was the main thing slowing me down.
Basically, you take off the U bolts from the leaf springs, remove leaf springs, replace sway bars, shocks, and steering arm.
That's about how detailed the instructions were too.
