Carpool Lane

What's up with the carpool lane? What are the rules? If I am carrying passengers and move in to the carpool lane. Then someone comes up on my “A” exceeding the speed limit. Do I have to move over? I mean is the car pool lane meant to be faster than the fast lane? If I move over into the fast lane then I have to get over again for the speed demons. Then what’s the point of the carpool lane? :angryfire:

I don’t think it’s a faster lane and now the fastest lane. I just set my cruise and let people go around me. What’s up? :frustrated:

BTW…..They are trying to pass a law to make hybrids legal in the carpool lane without passengers. NICE! :cheers:

Just hit the brakes, man. The carpool lane is NOT the fast lane. People who tail you are probably alone in their car anyways, and they don't want to get caught.
They want to get in there, pass a few people and get out. I say make them get in the REAL passing lane. That's the only lane where it's the LAW where you have to be passing somebody. You actually aren't supposed to be in the fast lane unless you are passing.
As for the carpool lane, you could go 45 mph if you wanted to.
