This is a very fun Friday-Saturday trip, whether you can shoot or not.
Sometimes there are coupons for Wendover hotels that come in those "Coupon Mailers". If we watch out for these, we could have a cheap Wendover trip. If we don't, maybe we can take Friday off, and head down Thursday night for a cheaper rate.
Anyways, after a fun night at the tables, we hit the trail. There's a few good spots around there.
I've had some good luck in the snow, so this could be good for January.
Tell the wife that the room will cost about $80 (to cover your gambling expenses), when it will probably cost about $10-$15 when we all pitch in.

I am available the last two weekends in Jan. Can we set a date? I better clean up the ole 870 and look for some deals on ammo. Let's blowed up some wabbits! :rifle:

Yeah, let's see if we can find some coupons for cheap rooms. If not, we could look into going down Thursday nite.

Ok so we tell our wives that the room will cost $80.00 right? :haha: Then we watch the pimped out :afro: gambler win the money for our rooms at the roulette table. And we dont even have to know how to shoot! :rifle: This is going to be a blast! Who else is in? :bud:

I dream of genie is about right. We met at a halloween party. In fact, it was the same party that our friend Dave kicked the karaoke prompter over and ruined the night.
We ended up dating for a little bit, then I realized that crazy girls aren't worth it, no matter how hot they look.

I'd ask you to elaborate, but I get the impression that you wouldn't be able to here.

Sounds like fun!

Well, it was an experience worthy of noting. Anyways, we gots ta hit Wendover by the first of February.
A couple of us can't go in January. We have inventory at work. But come February, let's make it snow fur.

Thanks for the shells tip. My Dad just got a sweet new rabbit slayer for Christmas. Maybe he'll let me borrow it. I need to take a picture of it when I get over there again. Then I will post it! It's a Ruger with a nice scope. A beauty! Perfect for wabbits! :rifle:

Any updates on this trip? Can we put a date on the calendar? February for me is looking very open at the moment. :friday:

I've heard some good responses from a few people for Feb 4th-5th. I'm trying to get them to use the forum so we can all communicate.

That weekend would work for me. The sooner I get it on my calendar the better.

Yeah the forum is a much easier tool to use to communicate and plan these types of things. Once people start using it and they get comfortable, that

I think I might just make up some user names for people, and put their e-mail addresses on. Then they will get e-mails, and see how easy it is to use.
I'm still trying to get commitments for the 4-5th. I've got a couple.

Alright so another post with all the details would help. We are leaving Friday (4) night? Coming home Saturday night? So far these people have said they are in: accadacca, Sombeech, Chivato, ChiefAutoParts. Anyone else? Also did you find any coupons? I dont know where to get them? Do we need to call and get rooms now? Perhaps they'll give us a better rate if we say the whole crew is coming? Cool! Can you arrange to have that genie show up? :slobber:

Sombeech

So far, I'm thinking it's going to be accadacca, chivato, MY T PIMP, and myself. 4 is a decent number, but more are always invited. These are the only 4 who have given me a good response.

And regarding the genie from my previous posts? She may be there, but it might require a $20 cover charge to see her, with a fist full of dollar bills.

OK, here's the coupon I found in the mail. It's for a free room at the Nugget. I don't think it's even buy one get one free. From what I can see, it's just a free room. We may even be able to get 2 free rooms, if we "introduce" somebody to the nugget, whatever that means.

We could be in for a fun, cheap Wendover stay.

accadacca
01-24-2005, 09:04 AM
Sounds good! Are you going to give them a call to reserve the room? If we could get the second one that would be cool. Let me know if you need me to do anything? I hope this DAMN fog is gone by then. :angryfire:

Lookin' forward to it! eclipsee_steering

Yeah and dont forget to bring money for the genie. :gap:

What is everyone bringing to shoot? I usually bring my shotgun. This time I am going to try a 22 with a monster clip and a scope. The weather looks good! I was stuck at home all weekend. I am ready to get out and shoot em up. The only thing that I accomplished was a new carburetor for my motorcycle off ebay. YES!!!

What time are we leaving? I can drive if needed and I have to be back by 6:00pm on Saturday. I need to make sure that I am stocked up with ammo.

Sombeech

Looks like there will be about 6 of us, so atleast 2 vehicles.

I say we leave as soon as we get out of work. Us northern boys will be able to get out of here at 5:00, and we could meet somewhere in SLC (west) and head out.

Still working on the rooms... They said since it's super bowl weekend, they've got too much occupancy to accept these coupons. :frustrated: We're still hoping Pancho Villa (Jose) can get some free rooms through his mom.

Sombeech

Bad news, boys. Since it's Super Bowl Weekend, (which a few of us didn't even realize for some reason) the free casino rooms won't happen.

But still, we're talking 2 $59 rooms, split up 6 ways, is only $15 each. Not bad. I'll make that up within a couple of spins on the Roulette wheel.

Now, I'm sure that we could use these 2 coupons for free rooms if we wanted to go on the 11th-12th, but it may be too late to reschedule with everybody. I think I would be able to do it, but then again, we're talking $15 each, and trying to fit it in on Valentine's day weekend.

So, that's the room situation, and we should be able to choose any casino that we like.

$15 bucks is not bad. It takes a lot more effort just to get it on the calendar with everyone. I am planning on it. Load

I've got the reservations at the Nugget. 2 rooms at $69.54 each, including tax.
It'll be about $17 each for those who want 4 to a room, or about $23 for 3 to a room.
Still not too bad. You'll all lose about $200 in the first hour anyways on the tables, so I don't want to hear about the cost of the room.

Hey I have a spring loaded clay pigeon thrower that I can bring. I also have two boxes of clay pigeons that have been sitting in the garage for 3 years. I need to shoot them up! If other people want they can bring shotguns just to shoot clay pigeons. It gives you something to do if the fur flying is slow. If you have any clay pigeons, bring them along.

Sombeech
02-03-2005, 09:43 AM
That's a good idea. I can even buy some pigeons, and get a hand thrower. Those hand throwers throw a lot further than the mechanical ones.
Let's do it! :targetpractice:

Dammit... you guys have fun. Sorry I cannot make it on this trip. Last I heard, this was all still a twinkle in Sombeech's eye! My little boy is having a birthday party and I've got to be to that. Good luck in the field and at the tables... Let us hear how it all was! Chief

Well how did it go? Anyone get lucky at the tables? What about on the range? Any pictures? Any sightings of the genie! I would like to go down there still this month. Damn you timed the weather just right. I was on my motorcycle on Saturday. Click here http://uutah.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=225 for pictures. Unbelievable weather! This morning I had to fire up the snow blower! 4 inches on my driveway! And its snowing like hell right now. :wallbash:

Damn you guys must be really busy at the shop? Can someone give us a report of the trip? I have been waiting to hear all week. Even a second hand report would be something. This site is becoming an accadacca personal web blog. If you have to type using only one finger at least no one will see you.

Sorry for not responding for a while, been real busy at work...

Well, I heard we really missed out. I mean really. They all ran out of ammo, just on rabbits! They say they saw hundreds of them. I'm just sick that I didn't make it on that trip. Next time I go, I'll get skunked, I know. It sucks too, 'cuz I put the damn thing together!

They went to MY T PIMP's "secret" place, but I know about 6 guys that have been there. It's near a small town called Montello, and off the paved road a little while.

Anyways, we'll have to plan another one.

Yeah whenever I go fishing if others dont come then I always say that I slayed them. No matter what really happened! :haha: Ok I believe them.... :hail2thechief:

Are you planning on going to the same place at the end of the month?
